HEHE. I don't miss anything in paticular. I eat all the food I can, just slower than I would without braces. HOWEVER, I do miss being able to eat something without wondering if I have a giant piece of food. That funny someone mentioned rice krispies, I ate one for probably the first time in a long t...

OPINIONS PLEASE

OKAY. I HAVE THESE THINGS ON MY FRONT TEETH CALLED WIRE TIRES. THEY ARE WIRES USED INSTEAD OF THE COLOR LIGS (AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT THE ASSISTANT TOLD ME). APPARENTLY MY ORTHO PREFERS TO USE THEM ON MOST TEETH INSTEAD OF THE COLOR LIGS BECAUSE IT "WORKS." MY PROBLEM IS THAT AFTER ABOUT 2 W...

I had that issue too, and it freaked me out. Actually, it still does! When I went in for my "hygene checkup", I asked the assistant if it was normal. She said it is normal for some people it can happen. It can be a good thing, or a bad thing. She said that if you push on it firmly, but not...

I had my initial consultation in Nov. Molds done in early December, and didn't get my braces on until Mid May. That's because I had to get an extraction done, and my dentist had a looong wait for that. =\

IDK if there is necessarily food that I don't like to eat, but there sure is food I hesitate to eat because of the cleaning process afterwards. I guess you can call me lazy. But when I'm offered food that normally I would gladly eat. I secretly think to myself... is that worth having to go brush yuo...

OH SO GUILTY.

I've become a sloppy brusher ever since I got braces..

So sloppy, that it dribbles down my chin, and I hold a napkin there, so it doesn't get too sloppy. . .

But it always does..

I'm 21, and I'm a bank teller, so I have to smile often. A lot of my co workers had braces as adults, and gave me lots of warning about what to expect. So the day I had the appointment, a bunch of them were anxious to see if I was in any pain, or if they hurt. And gave lots of advice. NObody was mea...

Most gum out there is sugar free in general, except gum like bubbalicious.. (from what i've noticed) I chew orbit, and it has worked wonders. Now i've only had braces for 2 1/2 weeks. I chewed it in teh very beginning when my teeth were very sore, and it helped my mouth get .. unsore. If that makes ...

I've decided to get braces now, because my parents couldn't afford them (like most people on here).

I've got a great job with amazing insurance, where I only have to pay 1500 out of pocket.

GUM OVER MOLAR BANDS

SORRY, I know this has been posted before.
But I couldn't find it.

I was examining my braces as normal, and realized my gums are growing over the molar bands.... is this normal?

What happens in 2 years when my braces are removed. Will I have floppy gums??!

My boyfriend said he noticed changes on Friday which was only 5 days into braces. And my supervisor at work noticed changes today, which is about a week and 5 days into braces. But, I don't notice any POSITIVE changes. So far, the spacers made my bottom teeth more crooked than they were to start off...

So, at least I know I'm not the only one. That's a good sign. I don't know if i necessarily wake up with sore teeth. I'll just wake up because of the dang alarm (ha) and notice I'm clenching. Which I never used to do. I know I don't grind my teeth anymore, which is a good thing, but I don't think th...

YES MAAM. LOTS OF WAX. Globs of it. I had to go buy more bc my ortho only gave me one lil case. And the cold sores aren't where any brackets are hitting.. just two of them are... The one in the back, and one from one of the front pockey brackets. But there are other cold sores in weird spots. . one ...
