#2 - I wanted Invisalign but was told by two different orthos that I'd have to get braces eventually (last 6-8 months) in order to fix my crossbite.

I figured there was no sense in going through both so I went with braces.

I really hate 'em but hopefully it'll all be worth it!!

Jealous! Congrats! :D I feel like I've been in mine for YEARS and it's only been 10 months. Poo. I had one bracket replaced earlier this year (it was loose) and oh boy! That was not fun at all. I was reaaaallly hoping that wasn't what what the process was like getting them all off. I guess so. Yikes.

Lots and lots of POPCORN, corn on the cob, carmel apples, Milk Duds and other sticky yummy candy, gum, and Doritos.

What I miss the most though - popcorn!!!! Going to a movie theater...so hard!

I just got a powerchain on 2 days ago...my ortho highly recommended silver because the clear stains quickly. I have silver on...hate it (I have clear braces) but I guess it won't stain.

I don't know tons about braces but I've had an elastic on for 2 months and I can see a big difference. I wear an "Impala" 24/7 to fix my crossbite.

I asked my dentist. She recommended 2 so I went to both for consultations. I picked guy #2 because he seemed very thorough even during the initial consultation. I think he was more honest too.
