Hi there! I have the exact same issue. I realize you posted this a couple years ago; how did your surgery go? I believe I had mentalis strain slightly before my surgery, but it is definitely worsened over time. My jaw surgery was over 10 years ago and my sliding genioplasty was approx. 5 years ago....

Without your bands in (if you wear them), open your mouth open as far as possible for 5 or so seconds then close down on your teeth gently. Repeat for 10-15 minutes, 2-3 times a day.
