Congrats! My bracket removal itself did not hurt at all. The cleaning of the glue was uncomfortable akin to a dental cleaning when you have sensitive teeth.

They didn't offer wires/braces to me. I declined the old molds. At an art car show, I once saw a car with dentures glued all over it -- I'd rather see braces and orthodontic appliances!

I'm a clencher too. Sorry to bring bad news, but one spot on my lower incisors kept getting ulcers off and on throughout treatment. It took about a week to heal after the braces were finally off.

No with the roof of your mouth and the back of upper teeth. Try dropping your lower jaw when kissing :D

You may be clenching your teeth in your sleep, which can cause some on-and-off soreness and even slight looseness. I had overbite and similar symptoms pre-braces. I think you will be just fine and have lovely results :D

You might repost your query on the surgery forum. I don't have experience with your situation. As you know, you have to weigh the long-term risks and benefits of each option. Your English is excellent, by the way.

Consider consulting with a 2nd or 3rd ortho to see if they agree with ortho #1.

First, are you sure you have overbite and not overjet? Overbite means the top teeth overlap much or all of the bottoms, while overjet is buck teeth where tops are out in front of bottoms. Based on proposed treatments, I suspect you may have overjet. If I were in your position, I would ask a few more...

An idea about your looking young at work. Can you work out a line to use for small talk about your 10-year old son and how he thinks it’s funny his mom is having braces at age 30 or whatever because it makes her look like a teen? Make a bit of a joke and address the issue and continue to dress and a...

I had them every 6-8 months, to check root position. Maybe 5 all together, including at beginning and end of treatment.

You had a nice smile before and you have a nice smile after, it's just different. But the braces corrected the functional issues (overbite etc.) so your teeth will not wear down prematurely and that was the point in your case, right? I do agree you should look into the frenectomy or whatever because...

My front teeth feel a little loose too, but not enough that it's getting in the way of my eating. I was surprised to realize this when I got the braces off. Basically it's similar feeling to when I had braces still on, that some teeth can be wiggled slightly or if I chew really hard food I feel a bi...

When I went in for adjustments, sometimes I got a new wire and sometimes I kept the same one. When I was keeping the same one, sometimes it was removed, some bends were made, and then it was replaced. Other times, especially earlier in my treatment, they just kept the wire in place. Yhey never remov...
