Hiya, im also in the UK. I went to my GP first where he examined me and then referred me to a specialist once he agreed something wasnt right,that should be your first step. Good luck

I had genioplasty two years ago, and as Helen -I should have had an upper and lower jaw surgery (open bite). But my surgeon thought that my face was harmonic and that we should drop it and just go for a genio (to "hide" the bite). and that it would help for my lip incompetence. But it has...

Thanks Helen and Esoteric, its reassuring to hear there isnt a lot of pain involved with chin surgery. My chin will actually be moved 6mm to the left rather than forwards like most genios

For those who have had GENIOPLASTY

I would love to hear from those who had genioplasty and how your recovery was, i dont really know what to expect in terms of pain, swelling etc will i be able to smile, talk, eat? How did you feel right after surgery? Did you notice results straight away? Any kind of information would be great Thanks
