Im seven months into braces and at my next adjustment I am due my final wire as well:-) Im scared to ask for how much longer...It really has flown bye and was the best decision Ive made in a long time:-)

Of all the things that hurt I have not felt alot of pain with rubber bands. I have four different sets of configurations going on now. I think they just grow on you.

So I had a partial Sarpe surgery, just one side cut and expanded on 05-28-09. Ive been through the ringer with this device, I wont bore you with whining because I do not think anyone has enjoyed it. ANyhows my Ortho is going to remove it in two weeks. He said the area is very strong and would be ok....

Yes mine tied off my expander as well. Im not sure how much room was made byt my left eye tooth which used to be high with no room to come down is now moving nicely down. I so hoping they can remove this expander before october. I already have braces. Im not sure about the drawn curtain....Im the op...

FLleaddog, Thats crazy you had some serious expanding to do. I havent turned in about two weeks. Did your Ortho say when youll be alowed to remove the expander? Im jonesing to have mine gone, only of course if it wont mess up my results.

They look great is it not amazing how quickly teeth move?

I dont know the name but I have a type that the Ortho puts on that doesnt stain at all(maybe wire ties?). I did have clearthe first time, but quicklyappreciated not having to worry about staining.

I do see a difference... WHy is your palate so raw? Is that what happens on removal? PLease say NO, I hope to have mine removed soon!

Ive had mine a little over three weeks I think. And I wouldnt say its painful but ANNOYING. Eating is a PITA, and I do have a sore from the metal poking the inside of my cheek. I think its different for everyone, I did have Sarpe surgery as well, Good luck tomorrow!
