It still catches me off guard when I glance in a mirror!

I still keep covering my mouth if I'm talking to someone during a meal... and I almost bypassed raw veggies at a luncheon the other day out of habit.

I have bonded splints plus Essix retainers, and I hate them! I can't imagine Hawleys being much more difficult to talk with. Maybe it just depends on your face, but I can't close my teeth in the Essix retainers.

Wow, I can't believe it's been a year since I was here last! :shock: I figured I'd update my ticker... I got the Good News yesterday and booked my debanding and retainer appointments. Double good news was that yesterday was my final payment, so I'll be a few bucks richer every month again. Yee haw!

Aside from vanity, my teeth are temporarily in an open bite and it's driving me crazy to not be able to bite properly. I say go for it.

Had an adjustment on Thursday and they said the teeth are moving really well. :) Boy, did they hurt.
