My bite is getting so bad, so depressing...new pics

Having a down day today, my bite has been getting worse as expected, but when I took pictures today you can see just how bad. He is going to work on my bite this summer with bands and we expected it to get worse as I had upper crowding and bringing them in line is causing them to go out. Since I am ...

Good luck on your journey!! I used my daughters Ortho so I had known them for 3 years, they evaluated her at 7, brought her back when she turned 8 a year later and then when they took her braces off at age 10, I booked my consult! I was very impressed with the care they took of her and the orthodont...

Congrats on your decision!!! It's such a huge thing! Non-braces people have no idea, but for those of us debating and having them takes over our lives!!! I was braced in January, at age 31 and after 20 years of thinking about and wishing I had braces! I am still pinching myself! I have good days and...

Look forward to seeing pics, I think I have some on here somewhere of mine....I am on bracesreview.com more so I have them on there on my blog. I was glad to hear my ortho's reservations of not taking teeth for that reason, as it really does make sense...they would make big extraction gaps and I wou...

I can't really offer any insight, but was interested to see your post as I will be in elastics by June or so, and I always wonder what it will be like. the way you describe yours seems to be how mine will be. I have no idea how they will fix this bite of mine, but I'm guessing he knows the deal. Can...

I never had braces as a child, but as a 31 year old, they sure do cause me a little grief...some days more than others and especially when they pulled together a gap that had opened up in my front teeth. (the gap took minutes to close) and that hurt! It was nothing than motrin or advil couldn't fix ...

I noticed slight changes within the week, but definitly by the 1 month mark, I had gaps, teeth were shifting. Now it's 2 months, and my canines are considerably lower than they were and my teeth look very different than before.

hmm, lets see...I have a mirror that I keep on my desk so that I can do a quick check if someone walks in on me eating my lunch. Did I mention I look in this mirror a lot to see if my teeth have changed, then jump on my Walgreens account to look at my pre braces pics. All in the middle of the work d...

oh goodness Brace, it's funny isn't it? all those years you think you are so alone, and then BAM, everyone on here knows what you're talking about!!!! I always kept my feelings to myself about my teeth, I felt like if I talked about it, people would look even more. I probably thought way worse of my...

The best part of the illusion of feeling like we have straighter teeth soon gives way to teeth that are actually moving...and very quickly!!! I can't believe that in just 2 months, that my stupid fangs are down so much, they are almost right next to my other teeth instead of being higher. That was p...

awww, sorry you had such a hard time, it's nice that they are working with you. You won't have any regrets,...like I said, the beginning is the hardest part...but each day you have braces is one day closer to that beautiful smile! I was so bummed on Jan 2, when my braces went on, and my next appoint...

It looks so bad on me! LOL I missed out also, was pretty quiet in school and in my career. I have friends that I l...

No teasing here, but I do kind of do it to myself, so people can see that I am fine with braces. I am concious of them, but I am so happy to finally have them that I can live with them. I mean, I hated my teeth and smile for years...I still have the same teeth, only this time they are being fixed, I...

I can relate also, I got my braces on in January, at age 31...I have wanted braces for so long, and to have it finally happen..I still can't believe it sometimes! The first week was the hardest, and I was miserable, in pain and feeling completely self concious. I am at 2 months now, had my first adj...
