I just got my braces off today and I am thrilled (I will post pictures later in the week) and my ortho is giving me two retainers.

Essix on top & Hawley on bottom. Isn't this going to be uncomfortable and a lot to be in my mouth? Is this normal?

Totally incompetence. I would address these concerns the next time you are in and consider moving on from this orthodontist.

I had my first adjustment today and my ortho told me he would not be putting my bottom braces on until my bite & top teeth are straight. He said probably not for a year.

Has anyone else had this done?

I am assuming that means I will have my top braces off long before my bottom?
