Hey :) I can't add much as I haven't had my op yet but wanted to wish you the best of luck, and a speedy recovery. Take is as easy as you can anyway - and if I were you I'd beg, borrow or steal a little help for the second week also. A couple of hours of baby sitting in the afternoon so you can catc...

Hey Jane :) Just wanted to let you know my thoughts are with you and your daughter at this awfully stressful time. I'm so glad to read that things are moving in a good direction with the new appointment - sounds like the worst is behind you - and things will get much better from now on. All the very...

Interesting topic! I have to admit to studying my families jaw's and bites like never before attm - obsessing as I am about this surgery :) Neither of my parents seem to have an exaggerated over-jet or over-bite. My brother and sister are fine as far as I can tell - though my brother had braces for ...

I don't have the experience to hazard a guess as to whether yours is a skeletal case - but want to wish you well. Just FYI I should add that there's a severe over-bite and over-jet, and cross bite in my own case. I know (of) someone who doesn't qualify as a skeletal case and is paying £800 approx t...

Go for it!! I'm sorry you've had such a hard time with your health over the years. I'm sure if any of your health problems were an obstacle to any part of orthodontic treatment your orthodontist would know. So go ahead and get referred - you have everything to gain! I honestly don't think they would...

Another thing I should probably mention is TMJ issues - this might have contributed in getting my treatment on the NHS - but again, I'm pretty sure that a diagnosis of 'skeletal malocclusions' alone is enough.

Hey Saffie! I'm having NHS treatment in the UK - and the experience I've had with my own health authority and team of professionals thus far has been excellent. There has been a certain amount of waiting involved - perhaps 10 months between the referral from my dentist to an NHS ortho. and the first...
