Ok I got my braces off on 1/13, but now I am noticing that my midline is off. It was perfect when I had my braces. OK, it is only about a quarter of a tooth off....so its really no big deal, but its a big upset to me. Opinion, should I mention it to my OD when I go in for a retainer check on 2/25?

I just got my new retainer. See above about why. it fits so much better and is even easier to talk with it in then the other one!!!

You are right there is something about biting into an apple that was highly missed. And cutting them up is ok....but not forever!!

I never had that torture device except the days they put my braces on. So I would have to say no based on my experience they do not use them for adjustments.

As far as you question 2, my OD was able to use a goofy wire configuration and pull my molars up some so they were lengthened.

Ok, so the story that went with today... Got there, and had to wait... Got to the chair, and brackets came off, there were a few teeth that were sensitive but other wise no problem Time to scrap off the glue....sounded like nails on a chalkboard, and almost drove me to a panic attack. Then my OD cam...

I was told that the bottom bonded retainer is very common now. The top bonded retainer is not as common because your bottom teeth would hit the cement that holds it on. I got a bonded retainer on my upper central incisors only and a hawley retainer for the top and bottoms only got the bonded retaine...

I had that happen on numerous occasions. I was told by my OD to examine the wire and if it was not bent then I could put it back in...but if it was bent then I would need to come in. I would give your OD a call and see what they think
