Re: Nervous about debanding?

Popping brackets off was a breeze for me. The bands, however, were painful to remove! Thought my teeth were going to be pulled out.

Re: used oral b electric toothbrush for the first time

I've used an Oral B electric for about 10+ years now. Mine broke about a year ago and i had to use a regular toothbrush for a while. Let me tell you, my teeth were not cleaned near as much as with the OB. My hygienest even said I only need to come for a cleaning 2x per year instead of the normal 3x ...

Re: Sore teeth after braces remove

I was debanded on Monday 11/21/2011. I had a couple of days of soreness, but I'm fine now. Every once in a while my molars will ache a bit.

I'm in a permanent bottom and a hawley top.

Re: THE Question - How often do you brush????

2 times per day using an Oral B electric. My hygienist always complements on how good I clean even though I don't feel like I clean them that well. I quit flossing a while back :S Too much trouble. Anyway, 10 more days! I am also a coffee drinker. When I notice light staining, I use a whitening mout...

Finally, a debrace date!

After a little over 3 years, I finally have a date set for removal! That glorious day is Nov 21!

I was given a 2 year sentence, so you can imagine how excited I will be that day lol.

Re: Check to remove

Well, I found out at yesterday's appointment that it was only a "Check to remove" like I feared lol. I did, however, get a removal date of 11/21! Now for the real countdown!

Check to remove

So, my orthodontist set up an appointment for "check to remove" for Oct 24th. Does this mean I could get them off then? God I hope so!

Re: What was your first meal after Debonding day?

I've eaten pretty much everything with the exception of sunflower seeds. I want to be able to crack sunflower seeds with my teeth and it won't work with braces haha.

I have a "check for removal" appointment on Oct 24th! October 6th will make 3 years - 1 year longer than my sentence :(

Re: Midline adjustment

Twild- I think my leveling case is a more complicated one. I was a thumbsucker, and as a result, the upper teeth on the left side of my mouth are higher than those on my right side, so that's what he's trying to fix. I'm sorry to hear your "sentence" got extended. I have a strong feeling ...

Re: Midline adjustment

Congrats on your gap closure!! :jump: I'm interested to find out this answer, myself. I got my one extraction done in May of last year, and I still have a couple of teeny gaps that need to close, so that's just over a year ago. My ortho started on the leveling portion of my treatment back in Januar...

Midline adjustment

My gaps are finally closed and now I'm guessing my orthodontist will level out my teeth and adjust my midline. My top teeth are shifted just a bit to the left and my bottom teeth are shifted to the right. Does anyone know if this part of treatment goes by faster than closing gaps? It seemed like it ...
