Yes I had very crowded upper teeth, but I was told a couple of months ago that I don't need any extractions (or jaw surgery) so it is possible.

I'm 22, I got my braces last year when I was 21 and hopefully will be getting them off in August, so quite a while before my 23rd birthday in December!

I've seen many adults (in their early 20s) with braces at university, and quite a few of the people working at my orthodontist clinic have braces too lol (including a lady who's well into her 50s). To be honest, I didn't see a lot of people with braces at high school and nearly everyone I know who h...

I have metal (damon) braces. Yeah I'll just ask the ortho at my next appointment, but it should be alright.

How long is the debanding process?

Hey everyone; I'm sorry if something like this has previously been asked but I'm getting my braces off in a few months and I was just wondering how long the process will take? The only reason I want to know is because I have an appointment to get them off at 3 pm, but I have to get back to universit...

I noticed some minor changes a week or two after getting braces, but after the first adjustment (6 weeks) the changes were MAJOR!

Yep I had to sign exactly the same thing, don't worry about it.
It was kind of concerning reading about problems that can occur with braces, but they appear to be pretty rare.

I don't know if that's normal or not but it does sound a bit strange. I get my wires changed almost every time I have an appointment, although last time my ortho left the upper wire as it was, and only changed the powerchain. However, he's never taken a wire out, bended it and put it back again, and...

At the moment I brush three times a day with an electric toothbrush; in the morning, after dinner and before I go to bed. I only floss once in a blue moon though

Powerchain problem-should I contact ortho about this??

I had an adjustment earlier today, where I was fitted with a new powerchain. However, I just looked in the mirror and saw that the powerchain has slightly detached from the bracket on one of my front upper teeth; I mean the powerchain is still attached to the bracket but it no longer covers the whol...
