That my dear is a TPA (trans-platal-arch). I had mine for about 7 months, and I did get used to it after a while. In fact, I forgot it was even there except for the difficulty with certain foods, like noodles and things small enough to get stuck between it and the roof of my mouth. I didn't hear of ...

I didn't even get the bite of food close to my mouth yet and PING! In the same day I got it on too. I was so upset. It was about 8pm when it hap...

My top right canine was impacted completely, baby tooth in place until I was 17 and I had it removed. When I had the surgery, they attached the link chain to it in the same day. That was in November 07. I get my braces off in 11 days!! SO excited:D

I used sensodyne toothpaste for a while and i noticed a slight difference. not enough to keep paying the 5 bucks a tube though.

Also, the floss I've been using the past two years is Crest Glide, and wow. It's amazing, let me tell you. Give it a shot, it's made flossing sooo much easier:)

i chose self-ligating (smart clip, to be precise). they are barely noticable, and SSOOO easy to clean. definately recomended.

Hey! I am in the EXACT same boat as you, I have bite turbos in the front and molar build ups in back. None of my teeth touch to chew food and it sucks. I've actually been throwing food into a food grinder and eating it that way. So this morning when I woke up one of my bite turbos broke off. Aparant...

Hey! I'm not sure if it's the same thing, but I actually have a TPA in the roof of my mouth. For the first month or so, it is very hard to talk or eat. I wouldn't say hard to talk, it just hurts.. because it really blisters your tounge. I have an impression on my tounge in the shape of a TPA. Howeve...
