Euro Dube and Braced very late. I'm feeling your tales! I now have very narrow arches. Especially lower. I had Orthodontics as a Teenager. My tongue can never find a happy resting place. And breathing is difficult. I'm also always biting my tongue. It's all quite depressing isn't it!! I have looked ...

I really can relate to your story.. totally. I had fixed braces in the uk. In the early 80's. When I was a Teenager. Move forward 30 years. And I have all the symptoms you have mentioned. Including the rather unattractive 'dished in profile'. Which often makes me look as if I have no teeth at times....

It's kind of like enquiring why someone is walking around with really crooked teeth!! And telling them so. I always tell people..especially older Bracites, how much I admire them for going through with the treatment. What is so wrong with wanting attractive teeth, with a healthy bite to accompany it!

Thank you for the replies. I have thought of seeing my GP, for a referral to a sleep clinic. Although I know the waiting list is long.. that's if I'm taken seriously at all. I have been told by people that at times during sleep.. I literally do not make a sound!! however, I wake up exhausted. And th...

breathing issues

Hi, Does anyone feel/know that the position of their teeth causes breathing difficulties. My lower jaw is pushed back. With collapse of lower teeth. Find I'm gasping for air on awakening from sleep. I also find it impossible to breath with my mouth closed. I struggle for breath when I do this. It fe...

Isn't that known as a 'black triangle'?

Apart from that, you're teeth look great..also lovely and white. Maybe some minor cosmetic dentistry may do the trick.

Well done.

Hello PW. Your lower teeth look similar to mine.. similar shape.. except yours are whiter!

I was also told I had gum recession by an Ortho. Who then did not wish to commence treatment.

So confusing...

Good luck

Sillano,

you are really going through it! your reference to '1980's' is apt.
That was when I had Ortho work. I was still in my early teens, therefore would not have understood the ramifications of so many extractions.

Left with.. caved in smile. Especially lower teeth.

Hope things improve for you.

Asabea,

Ortho A wasn't in Harley St was he!!?

You were right not to go with this Guy. I'm wondering what the

'specialist Ortodontistry'

entails.
I have had several quotes for top and bottom braces. None of them were less than £6000
Be careful & good luck

Hello Eye,

Sounds as if you are being a real brave Soldier! It's good to hear that your TMJ has not been aggrevated by all the dental work, as some dental reports suggest.

I'm currently in process of having some work done on gum recession.. so Who knows what will follow.

Best of luck.

what does a reverse bite look like? Is it where teeth are tilted backwards?

thanks for posting pics.

Have you had Orthdontics in the past, prior to these?

Good luck
