I really can relate to your story.. totally. I had fixed braces in the uk. In the early 80's. When I was a Teenager. Move forward 30 years. And I have all the symptoms you have mentioned. Including the rather unattractive 'dished in profile'. Which often makes me look as if I have no teeth at times....

It's kind of like enquiring why someone is walking around with really crooked teeth!! And telling them so. I always tell people..especially older Bracites, how much I admire them for going through with the treatment. What is so wrong with wanting attractive teeth, with a healthy bite to accompany it!
