Has anyone else had their ortho do last minute moves with retainer wear? My ortho is shaving down my retainer in about 2 weeks to close some very small gaps next to my inscisors...he felt there was no point in keeping my braces on when that space could be filled while I wore a retainer. just wonderi...

Umm. August will be a year since my BBSO and Lefort I..and my bottom lip and chin are still partially numb. Everyone is different.

I lost a total of 10lbs through out the surgery and recooperation stage. HOWEVER I gained weight. I didn't want to look sickly

Well It's been 9 months since my Lefort I and BSSO with rigid fixation and bone grafts, I think everyone is different. I personally was swollen from my bottom eyelids down. My nasal cavaties were numb and so swollen sleeping was hard. I think my swelling is just now fully going away 9 months later. ...

so my first ortho appt was today...finally got my archwire that got segmented during surgery taken off, and a new one put on...and then of course....my darn retainer/splint broke!!! I was putting it back in, and saw that the "hook" on my left side that sits between my side cuspids was bent...
