Instead of brackets on my 1st (far back) molars i have hooks and i managed to snap both of the top ones off while i was sleeping last night. Only had them on for 3 days :? It might be because i sleep on my stomach and the pressure of having my face pressed against the bed.... Good thing they weren't...

By day 2-3 the pain starts to turn into a dull annoying ache but you'll pretty much have that ache until you get braces on.

Good luck with the spacers! They can definitely be a pain in the ass!

Thanks for the warm welcome :D I was nervous at first with the prospect of having to get surgery as well as having braces on for 2 or 2 1/2 years but as i've discovered, they really aren't so bad. I happen to work in a bakery...so having braces is keeping me from eating all the time (which is good!)...
