ESSIX retainer

Are you supposed to be able to bite down correctly while wearing an essix. Something on my right side is hitting first and making my bite feel weird. But, when I take out the retainer my bite is normal and fine. Can people have the essix shaved? Also, when I put the retainer on It fills up with bloo...

I can tell you now that there is never a "right time" to get braces. If you don't get them now you will be beating yourself up about it when you do get them. You'll think ugh If I just would have gotten them that day I would be done by now. I understand how you feel, because, by saying the...

Re: Elastic Question?

OKay my bottom teeth are done and my ortho assit said I could probably go ahead and get them off. But, I definitely need to continue wearing elastics for my top teeth. As those of you who have elastics know, they connect to the hooks on the bottom brackets....So I was wondering how do you wear elas...

I never lost my baby canines. The adult teeth started to poke through the roof of my mouth and started to come all the way down fairly quick. When I got braced the canines had erupted all the way through the roof of my mouth so I am not sure how long it will take for you while in braces. They may pu...

Try using the search bar. I have seen people post here who have had TAD's/SARPE etc. Don't give up yet. When it comes to orthodontics things usually have to get worse before they will get better. Just keep picturing the end result, it will be so worth it to finally have the smile you have always dre...

Hi sarahlynn ! I was reading your story and was amazed at how similar our cases are. You can check my pictures out on my story to see. You are going to be so amazed at how fast those two teeth move up to the gumline. By month 4 and 5 they were almost all the way up there. But beware, teeth i the pal...

It's hard to tell in these pictures, but if I were in the same situation as yourself I would most definitely get a second opinion. They don't look bad but they don't look like 3 years of orthodontics, perfect teeth either. BUT, when he re-shapens that front tooth it might make a world of difference....

Thank you so much Margie! Yes, it's definitely crazy how fast they move at the beginning. I am now, unfortunately, at the slow stage :( .

I think men are more accepting of women in braces than the other way around.

But, as for just having them in general, I would think men handle it better. Its subjective either way but I think braces are hard to handle for either sex.
