I just came back to the forum after forever being gone. And I looked at my ticker. 21 months. My original estimate was 2 years. My teeth are pretty different than when I started. They're wonderful. But there are gaps that need closing even yet. Is it normal to go over your estimate? I'm feeling kind...

I got steel ties too. Started off with elastics, but once I got the steel boy did my teeth move! It's a bit weird feeling...and I kinda miss the colors, but hey...whatever gets the crowd going. I also had that problem...ugh, what a pain. Me I ended up using like 2 wax dots from a packet...molding them together kinda and then sticking one sort of onto the nearest bracket while smoothing as much as I could backwards to cover the bare wire. Be careful with too much wax use though...I found it...

I bit off one of my back brackets in my sleep. :lol: So in exchange for replacing the bracket and archwire, I got a bracket...and two of these suckers. Is there like a proper name for it? I thought I heard the word spacers used, but aren't those those little balls (they come in colors like ligs)? ht...

Pendulum Appliance? I'm not familiar...can't advise except to say where possible, wax is a good good friend. And I feel your pain on the eating thing. Had some extractions and was on the soft food diet. It does get old super fast. But it'll get better.
