Here's a great website which I reference often: http://www.mynewsmile.com. It's maintained by a retired cosmetic dentist, and has a referral page for recommended cosmetic dentists in each U.S. state. I even found my Invisalign dentist there :)

I use my Sonic Care toothbrush and The Natural Dentist toothpaste, which doesn't have SLS. I figure, if I'm going to be brushing my teeth up to 4 times more often w/Invisalign, it's a good idea to prevent irritating my gums w/detergent. Anyway, I brush my aligners at night before going to bed...

I'd always say a fluoride rinse is a good idea (use it last thing at night before bed) if you don't already use one. I have been using The Natural Dentist Fluoride mouthwash for braces before bed, and I think it has probably kept cavities from forming, but I won't know for certain until my next den...

I'm sorry that you're feeling so down about your treatment, but try to think about the end results. Honestly, that was my greatest motivator to brush my teeth right after eating/drinking and put the aligners back in. Well, that and not getting cavities  There's really no way to make your attac...

I have lost maybe 10-18 lbs. since starting Invisalign. I'm seeing it as a good thing :D I'm on my last tray, so I don't know if I will gain the weight back or not. But I will be wearing my retainers for at least 3 months full time before I switch to night only, so I doubt I will gain it back quickl...

I would like for my teeth to be straight of course but to shift back the way they were. i dont like how invisalgn has sinked my teeth, it makes my mouth look sunken. is it possible for braces or anyother appliance to do this? It's really strange how Invisalign makes your bite feel. That could be wh...

i havn't been wearing each aligner for at least 20 hours a day. then i lost a few so i went back & forth on wearing previous alingers Ahh, I see. Well then, I think traditional braces would be a great option to look into. Can't exactly forget to keep those on  Maybe ceramics would be some...

Haha, I was reading the responses on here and remembering when I had just started Invisalign, and had to balance flossing, using my electric toothbrush (which I bring everywhere), and putting the trays back in...and all this in a disgusting fast food bathroom, where there was one sink, and I had to ...

I haven't had more cleanings than normal, and I just had my 2nd cleaning of the year yesterday, which went very well. I had some deepish pockets on my last visit a lil over 6 months ago (mostly due to not being to the dentist in a while for insurance reasons), and the hygenist said that my teeth loo...

Yeah, the extra $$$ is a drag, to be sure. I'm glad that you still had great results though :D Congrats! I'm looking forward to hopefully having success in the end as well. Still have 6 trays to go though  I actually had an appt. w/my dentist today, and asked the assistant whether or not refin...

I got Invisalign Express, and from what was explained to me, no refinements are included, period. The reason why Express doesn't include anything is because it is substantially cheaper than getting a full set. Any more than 10 trays, and I would've been charged at least $1,000.00 more because then i...

I had already planned on buying a nice electric toothbrush after using other cheapy battery/rechargeable ones like Crest Spin Brush Pro and not being very satisfied. At the suggestion of my hygienist, I bought a new Sonicare at Costco (2 handles for basically the price of 1) and have continued using...

Lol...Well, I can't comment on the BJ part because I don't have any experience w/that in regard to Invisalign. However, I can say that kissing was a lil' odd at first w/the trays in, but only because it felt weird for me I think. My boyfriend said he didn't notice any difference, so kissing should b...
