Thanks everyone for the replies! Folk Ballad~ yours sounds exactly like what I have and that I do remember them saying something about widening the arch. Do you recall how long they kept it on? I really hope it's not that long. It's a pain. Sdawdy~ yours might too, but I don't have loops. I tried lo...

Why two wires on top arch?
I'm a year into treatment and yesterday they put a second wire on my top arch. I have the normal one that goes through the brackets and a second one that kind of butterflies above the brackets. Don't really know how to explain it, but it is tied in the center and makes kind of a shallow M shape abov...

The normal stuff...nuts (especially cashews and honey roasted peanuts) and popcorn. I eat most things still. I would love to be able to eat a huge hoagie or sandwich without having to cut in up to the point where it looks more like a salad. Tortilla chips and salsa or a big crunchy taco is another o...

Xrays ???
Just wondering how often xrays are taken throughout the entire braces process. My husband and I are thinking of having a second baby sometime before the process is over, which would make xrays a problem. I'm only 4 months into my estimated 18-24 month treatment time.

Thanks dfac001. I am really happy with how quickly my top arch has moved. Now if I can just get those bottom incisors to follow suit. One of them has moved a lot since getting the button placed, the other one doesn't appear to be moving to my eye. Oops, I just now realized that I've been saying inc...

Thx for stopping by my story, wow so much movements in 2 months, now I'm jealous lol. Good for you. You must be happy with the results so far. Somehow I think my ortho is taking his sweet time. I dunno. Just my opinion maybe I do need more work done than others. Thanks dfac001. I am really happy wi...

Hey Melissa! Sorry to hear about all your ortho unhappiness, but I think it's awesome that you voiced your concerns and are doing something about it with transferring. I would have been so upset too, no reason to make people feel bad when they already are feeling bad enough due to the braces. Are yo...

Wow, your progress is fantastic! Your teeth look great. Doesn't look like you had to worry about the sunken face look at all. I worry about that once in awhile too since I had four teeth removed, but I think my ortho knows what he's doing so I'll just trust him. Good luck on the remaining part of yo...

Well, I had my second adjustment 2 and a half weeks ago, it went well. I got buttons placed on the lingual side of my lower incisors with power chains attached that go back to my molar bands. It was rough on my tongue at first but now I'm used to it. My mini-screws/TADS are still working great. My t...

Thanks for joining in. Your teeth look great! Like the previous poster said, I wouldn't worry too much about the gap. Right before my 2nd adjustment I had one like yours between those same teeth and as soon as the ortho did the adjustment it was gone, along with another one that I had forming betwee...

License picture with braces...bleck!
Ugh, I just realized that I have to get my license renewed in the next month or two, which means I will have a pic with braces to look at for the next 4 years. Kinda stinks, oh well!

I'm only 2 months into treatment and have noticed myself waking up in the middle of the night grinding, or at least clenching, my teeth over the past month. I mentioned it to my ortho last week at my second adjustment and he said don't worry it should go away once my teeth move more. Hope he's right...
