Thanks for that - I don't think my ortho will have a problem doing the refinements I just feel that I'm nearly at the end but don't want to get my hopes up in case I need more. I was really just wondering if she'd have said it already if she thought it was needed. The good thing is she thought...

When did you out about refinements?

Hello, I'm on 12/13 upper and finished my lower. I have 4 weeks left and am wondering when the ortho tells you if you need refinements? I'm wearing my bottom one till I finish the top and they seem fine. Would it normally be when you are totally finished they tell you or are they able to tell on you...

That happens me every so often too. One or two as my teeth moved I no longer felt it sharp as my teeth obviously moved a little and the aligner wasn't in the same position. One was so bad I had to file a it a little and the relief was huge. I'm not sure if it affects anything but I'm over half way t...

Welcome - you'll be delighted you did this in no time. I didn't have a whitening tray so can't help you with that one. My trays came in within about 3 weeks but I had been advised 4. It depends on a lot of factors but unless there was some sort of delay I'd be fairly sure you won't be waiting too mu...

Sleeptime Problem

Hi everyone, maybe you can help me with this - I'm on tray 6 of 13/u and 11/L For the past 3 weeks every couple of nights I'm waking up to find my Lower tray on the floor beside my bed. I'm obviously taking it out during the night while asleep. They aren't sore at all. The top one is more awkward to ...

The hygiene part is probably the most damaging as the previous poster said. I am quite relaxed about it all. I'd drink water and coffee & lager with them in. Only two cups a day (coffee) and brush them afterwards and so far I've had no staining and i'm on tray 4. I tend to think you get a little...

Re: how long do i have to wear invisalign? please read on

Sorry for the silly question but I'm new to this and still trying to learn. I just got my invisalign aligners put on today. I didn't have a chance to talk to the orthodontist as it was a VERY busy day in the office and once I left it was hard for me to talk anyway. The dental hygeniest said that I ...

Re: Are all invisalign dentists created equal?

I recently had an apointment with a dentist here in San Diego who received an excellence award from Invisalign, and he is promising some incredible results. He says he can straighten my teeth in 8 months with invisalign when other dentists and orthodontists were telling me it would be 18-24 months ...

I also just got mine yesterday. 15 upper and as of right now, 0 lower. My bottom teeth aren't completely perfect and I expressed some concern, but my dentist told me that we're gonna worry about the top now and can always do one or two trays on the bottom later. I also got four attachments thrown o...

Congratulations, but I'm confused. Most people wear each set for 2 weeks. If you have 13 aligners, then that would only be 6 months. But you said it will take 18-24 months. Please clarify this. Thanks. :) Hi Sorry, should have clarified. During my first consultation with the ortho she advised that ...

Got my invisalign today

I'm think I'm thrilled! - the dentist gave me approx 18-24 months for the invisaglin treatment. Got my first set today and they are 13 upper and 11 lower.
Am I right in thinking that all going well and not including adjustments I should be finished by Christmas?
