I finally did ask my questions! I was so stunned at doing it that I forgot a few, albeit less important ones. But that is a "first" of feeling that I took "the floor" and stopped questioning only when (kinda) satisfied. (Still not the most elaborate explanations... Oh well!) I fo...

SAME! Extremely difficult to punch in ONE question. I am rushed to the chair, rushed to open my mouth, and then I am so much in pain, it is time to leave. The atmosphere, or the ortho's attitude, is not customer-friendly and welcoming for questions! It is SO frustrating and it infuriates me like cra...

I thought I was also going nuts for having pain for so long too. But trust me/us: we do get used to the braces and it gets much better with time. I think some of us are just really extraordinarily sensitive. I know I am. But even then, I am now somewhat "confortable", after 2 months. Adjus...

Yes, I definitely have dentist phobia, because of a wrecked extraction and hemorrage I had when I was 5 years old (hence my missing teeth and the gaps that evolved from the situation.) I hear you all. Thanks for caring! Because there is really not much choice (you have to live here to understand...)...

Hey LN: I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO with you. I am going through torture as well. Last adjustment, the ortho had to stop and remove everything he had just tried to put on because I was screaming and my entire body was clenched in a little package, fists tight as I dig my nails through my palms. You get the p...

I agree with the previous answers. phasedarry32. If they said: "good enough", it's because they could not say: "Good! It really looks like you have an issue... Definitely consult for other opinions... Sorry you are not happy with the result! Definitely not good enough for YOU! Best of...

Ok Clo. You absolutely freak me out. I bow to your bravery and strength. I am freaking out with pain from only lower braces after 43 days. And you represent the Zeus of all treatment warriors out there! I have no words. Kudos for not having murdered any ortho along the way. I will have a prayer/bles...

Thanks for the explanations Lisa65. The way it looks so far, I am afraid of the "tipping" effect you are talking about. My front tooth "used" to be straight... Scary. Toni: did you get any more details on implants? Are you considering them? I also miss some teeth and I suppose im...

Karess: Do you know why you could not move a tooth there then? Because of the condition of the gums?

How did you actually try, before you found out it was not possible? And for how long?

Curious!

Anyone closing large gaps?

I have many large gaps to close because of missing teeth. My first adjustment got me powerchains. Torture. Do you think I will need powerchains for ALL of the gaps I have? Is it a nightmare every time it is put on??? Also, for large gaps, are your brackets on the middle of the teeth or toward the to...
