I guess iits like nursing where for the most part, males just aren't interested in it There are tons and tons of male nurses now though. I've had some male medical assistants, although there are more women doing that job too but I don't think I've ever had a male dental assistant or hygienist. Ther...

Here's another picture. The one in my other thread I took with a very big aperture setting so only the front teeth were in focus. Here the back teeth are more in focus and I think you can see my issues better.

Why no male Ortho assistants?

Have you ever had a male Ortho assistant? I met with several offices before choosing mine and all the assistants in the offices were women. Wonder why it's such a gender specific job?

So the question is, do I go back to the Orthos I consulted with previously and didn't chose?

I feel so terrible for even considering this b/c mine really is a great guy and supposed to be tops in my city. I'm just an emotional wreck about this debanding.

Switching Orthos

I never thought getting debanded would cause me so much depression. I hate my teeth. I've had so many conversations in the last three months with my Ortho but very little was improved cosmetically and I gained an overjet in that time. He's very very nice and felt bad when I started crying while pick...

I don't know specifically but big enough that it's annoying to me and not perfect. Apparently it's being fixed with my Hawley retainer, which is uber annoying BTW.

Can you take that $800 to go back to where you moved from and see your original Ortho? It should be included in what you paid for your original treatment. Then you get a trip out of the money.

Here you go: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2743/4323686447_c3ba311d69.jpg I'm actually not very happy with them. The front tooth on the left, yeah that's totally parallel to the one next to it. The tooth next to it is angled too. I still have an overjet so instead of an Essix retainer like I was su...

I feel like I've gained a gap between the EXACT same teeth as the OP. I feel like I got it just today. Weird! My Ortho said that he's built in some teeth movement once the braces come off which is Feb. 1 for me. I've already gone back to see him twice with concerns before my debanding date, I don't ...

My teeth didn't look nearly as bad as yours and I was originally told 24 months, then that was moved back to 22 and now they're coming off after 20 months and 26 days (but who's counting LOL.) I could have shaved off another 20 days if it weren't for some last minute tinkering done by my Ortho and me.

So for anyone following this...

I met with my ortho yesterday. He said that all of my concerns are totally normal and that once my teeth settle after the braces come off all will be resolved. So I'm still on for a debanding date of next Wednesday!

I'm feeling confident!
