Permanent Teeth (also known as Adult Teeth) are the second set of teeth that come in after the Deciduous (Baby) Teeth fall out. Most adults have 32 permanent teeth: six top and six bottom Molars, four top and four bottom Premolars, two top and two bottom Canines, and four top and four bottom Incisors.
The first permanent tooth usually appears in the mouth at around age six. The chart above shows the usual age at which the various Permanent Teeth erupt in a child’s mouth.
