A Forsus Appliance is used to correct a Class II malocclusion in growing children. It is attached to the upper first molar band and the lower arch wire, and applies a continuous, light force to move the jaw and teeth into their correct positions. Wearing a Forsus Appliance helps to eliminate excessive overbites, improves the fit of teeth, and may prevent the need for jaw surgery. It is usually worn for 6 to 9 months, depending on the severity of the malocclusion.
