A Cheek Retractor is a device used in dentistry and oral surgery. It pulls and holds the cheeks away from the mouth and teeth, allowing easier access. When you get braces put on, the Orthodontist may place a Cheek Retractor in your mouth to fully expose your teeth for bracket placement. Wearing a Cheek Retractor doesn’t hurt, and it makes it easier for you to keep your mouth open while you are getting dental work.
