Six months and change...pics!

A bit over six months into this thing and there is some real progress. What do you think?

Top and bottoms are rounding out. Teeth are moving into place. It's hard to tell, but my one stubborn incisor on the bottom is straightening out.

Your teeth look great, very straight and white! Great progress pics. You make me look forward to the six month mark :)

Thanks! Next year I get surgery and though I am not looking forward to that, I am really looking forward to a nice smile and bite.

nice progress!! I will see my 6th month pictures very shortly.

Just a quick question, why you have changed from clear to metal?
6/4/2005: 2nd premolar extracted+ spacers in
6/13/2005: clear braces: top and bottom

next 'date' on 18th Nov. ...and the bottoms might be off then?!:-) top will stay until Dec. before xmas.

I never got used to the larger size of the ceramics and I hated dealing with the staining ligs. I like the compactness of the metal brackets and all my ligs look the same (when I use color...right now I am using silver for the holidays, but will go back to color after the New Year).

It is really cool to see side by side views of ceramics vs. metals. I am trying to decide which to get, and keep flipping back and forth about it.

Do you stainless brackets bother you less (I realize it might be hard to say since your mouth is probably toughened up some by now).

Were those ICE ceramics that you had before?
Uppers placed 2/8/06--Inspire ICE ceramics
Lower (stainless) placed 2/23/06
Treatment time: 17 months (estimated was 12-18 months)
Debonded: July 11th, 2007
Next appointment: June 2008 for retainer & nightguard check
