This is how I imagine it will go:
My ortho is so impressed with my progress that he says
"Chris, I am so impressed with your progress..." I like how this is going. "... that at this rate you'll be finished in half the time. Tell me what is your secret?"
And then I'll explain to him how I concentrate REAL hard on making my teeth move and they must just move by self-psychokinesis.
Well... now I know what it means to get your braces tightened. I had no idea.
No new wire. They replaced the rubber O-rings with metal ties I guess. I can't really see a difference but she was doing a lot of twisting. So the idea is the ties hold the bracket tighter to the arch wire?
My teeth don't hurt at all though.
Very anti-climatic.
I'm in Orlando too, and like you, I got all mine tied down with wire at my first adjustment. Plus they put this powerchain thingy on my top 4 front teeth and that sucker HURT!
I wonder what new torture they will dream up for me on my second adjustment, which is on Tuesday!
Okay. My Doc is B. Levin. He comes highly recommended. But I've heard good things about a few others in the area too.
G84grrl, let us know how your 2nd adjustment goes. Mine is next Monday.
BTW, I've seen a lot of movement in my teeth. I just wonder where they're going.
They now seem to be more uneven in height though. And I am concerned that the gaps left by extractions are too wide. But, my friend said her son's teeth were all over the place for a year then, boom, they fell into place.
I'm hoping for power chains this adjustment.
