I am from Finland and at the moment living in USA.
I have always had an overbite and a deepbite, but they did not bother me, because my teeth are quite straight. But a 1.5 year go and noticed two big cavities on right upper and lower molars. I id not have any money to go to dentist
I waited a year until i got them fixed. One molar was so rotten that it had to be pulled away
Well, after biting more than a year only my left side someting happened.
When my cavities were away and I could eat on right side as well, my bite was odd. my deepbite was deeper, my lower front teeth hit the palate and they were quite worn. I have facial and tooth aches most of the time.
I finally found an ortho who will fix my bite with braces and elastics. It will take ca. 20 months.
This ortho probably gets "presents" from invisaling as he told me that I could have invisaling, but it would not correst my overbite
Also he told me that I can swop to invisalign at the end of the treatment.
He said that it will take longer though. As I want to have the most effective and fastest treatment, I told him that "I am working mostly alone in lab, and there is nobody wathing my teeth, so I don't see a reason to prolong my treatment because of estehtic reasons".
So, I will go 01/10/06 to get x-rays and stuff. They will also but the rubber things between my molars. In next appointment they will put the braces. Very effective, I like it.
Just waiting for to get rid of my facial and tooth pain! I can take the pain caused by braces as it will just show that my bite better is getting better
