Ya Jill--the adjustments had the Forsus to the point that it has been very tolerable--more than elastics--even though I would like to throw both into the sea--BAH BYEEEEeee...
Well, I finally had to put the rod into a small plastic sealed baggie. It won't stay on the archwire. And now I have a spring just hanging out--blowin' in the wind..

(The answer, my friend, is DEFINITELY NOT blowin' in the wind!)
Sooo, I have spent the last hour trying to tie the spring to the archwire with floss. (Online it shows how to do that--but even the person tying it has trouble--and she's using a model sitting on the table!!!

) Anyway, the floss just worked it's way down to the end and came off. On top of that-- I cut my lip while using the scissors to cut the ends of the floss! Yeooowww!

...
OK so last week I bought some metal double pronged hot dog sticks for roasting hot dogs.

They came with rubber tip covers for the sharp ends....see where this is going?

...
So, I put one of the new rubber tips onto the end of the spring....the inside of the rubber tip is too big. Soooo, I put wax inside the rubber tip and then the end of the spring into the wax which is inside the rubber tip. So, that's where it's at now. I have the wax filled rubber tip of a hot dog stick on the end of the Forsus spring in my mouth...Ya, that's what I'm talkin about--doesn't get much better than this...
And you know what!! If the ortho says let's just bag the Forsus...I'm going to fight him on it!!!

I can feel it working, and for me that's the bottom line, and the only thing that matters.....
