Hi first post! I had ceramic uppers/metal lowers put on today. I also got a reminder appliance (sharp metal rake behind my bottom front teeth) installed for a tounge thrust. I knew the reminder appliance wouldnt be plesant but my tounge rakes across it when I am talking, chewing and even when it's in the proper "rest" position. My words are also slurred and hard to understand (and very painful). It's absolutely unbearable. Im thinking about calling the ortho tomorrow to see if i can get it adjusted but I dont want to be "that guy". Does anybody have any experience with these or know if it gets better?
Thanks!
