Hey Jen :D

...just thought I'd catch up on your story. Sorry to hear about the torture of your last adjustment. :-+ You really have to go twice a month now? What a bummer...
Anyhow, your teeth are making noticable progress. I see it especially in the bottoms. That's so cool! Yep, it's so amazing to see 'em move. When you've lived with these teeth for years it's almost unbelievable when you really start to see some action. I'm psyched for ya...

Oh, and those ligs look awesome...so festive! Looks like your anything but shy about your braces now!

Ok....please..someone tell me that it's "normal" to get gaps where you never had them nor wanted them before :yikes: ......SEE
Image

See that??!!! DO YOU SEE THAT GAP!!!!??? :yikes: Please tell me that this is all part of the plan. You know....kinda like it's gotta get worse before it gets better type thing. Not only wasn't there ever a gap, but that tooth was behind another one, kinda...

This has all happened just since last Tuesday  , AND...the tooth next to it...is almost in line with the bottom 4 (kinda hard to see in my "professional" pictures). WOWZEES :-* :-* ....when they decide to start.....there's no stoppin those little buggers!!!!!!!

I couldn't tell you if it's normal or not but I am certain it has to be. That baby moved fast!!!. I've seen other people develope gaps because things are shifting. I am sure that's whats going on with you. congrats on major movement.!

Jen :D

I think your new gap is just a matter of your teeth "looking worse before they look better". I feel like it's just a temporary thing, and part of the process. I'm sure your ortho won't leave you like that. I had a gap between my left central and lateral incisors when starting this. Now it's looks huge to me, but I'm sure it will be closed eventually (probably w/ a power chain), so I'm not going to worry about it.

Keep smiling.....

Seriously, you should be an author. Or a comedy writer. You'd get paid a fortune! Your descriptions and stories are hilarious and addictive! I'm feeling all the highs and all the lows with you!

Hi Jen,

Yep! Those gappages will come and go at will as your toofers move around willy-nilly like! It is all just part of the fun of watching the process happen. And you're having plenty of it at this time. Enjoy it for now, as like most of us, you'll get to a "boring" stage when your teeth are nearly at their new homes and your teethes roots have to get settled in.

I'm sure your ortho will leave you with the best looking smile that they can. Nice green ligs by the way! Interesting how your ortho is doubling them up. I suppose that is too help hold your teeth to the wire better.

Keep us posted. You write an interesting story!

C'ya Later! Ken.

Ok...so I broke down and bought a water pik..pic....pike....pick...how ever the schmell it's spelled. And I can honestly say...HOLY CRAP IT'S A WEAPON. I mean, really...I could kill someone with this thing on high. Hmmmm...maybe. No, no... ok anyway, there should be a warning or something in with the directions. Crime-ma-nee-christmas :x .......I turned the massive tool on... unknowingly aiming it in the direction of my mouth...(not it my mouth) and all hell broke loose :yikes: ....water was shooting everywhere :yikes: ...in my nose...my ear...on the mirror, meanwhile I'm screaming at the top of my lungs...ahhhhh, sh#t...crap....muva f*cker...how the bleep a de bleep bleep bleep do you turn this bleeping thing off!!!!!! :-(* As I turn it towards me to try and turn if off....bam...yep...I did it, I shot myself right frickin square in the eyeball. (Funny thing is, I always wanted a fake eyeball. You know, so I could take it out at party's......NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) My husband comes running in, the kids (who were in the bathroom at the time) start screaming and crying, you'da thought I'd shot myself with an M16, many times over....what with all the commotion going on in my bathroom. Hell, the last time I had that much screaming and yelling going on in a bathroom....well, lets just say we weren't focused on cleaning our teeth...
Ya, lets just say it was an experience never to be forgotten. So, I put it back in the box for a couple days, scared to death to even approach it, thinking I'd for sure end up with some sorta laceration across my face if I'd do it again. But, alas....I did give it another go, on low mind you and I must say....it feels quite yummy in my mouth. My gums are like "oh yaaaa, that feels super spiffy" and I'm very surprised at how much stuff it gets out. I have a cordless one, and am a bit worried my 11 year old is gong to sneak it out and use it as a "squirt gun"....oh well, as long as he's squirting the neighbor kids teeth and gums....what the hell do I care!!!!!

Ah yeah! The adventures of a rookie Waterpic beginner. There are many such stories in the archives just like yours. At least the walls and mirror all get a fresh cleaning in the process.Image

Once you do get it right, there is nothing like it. It does get out the "stickers" rather nicely and it's really good for your gums too. Congrats on making the purchase. It makes the cleaning process a bit easier.

Thanks for the update. Those are some fun stories to read! :P Ken.

Ya, I love it...probabaly the best thing I've done yet for my teeth...well, next to getting these lovely braces that is..... of course...if you were to ask my husband...he'd just tell ya I've gone off the deep end what with all the time I spend now in the bathroom...with a vibrating toy.

Ok, I have no idea what just happened here...but I had my whole post done....and bam...gone. Nice....so glad I just spent 20 minutes practicing my typing. :-=

Anyway...I got my teeth cleaned on Friday. That...was an experience. This was my first cleaning with braces on. Not bad. Not bad at all. Except for the newbee....that cleaned my teeth. Why is it, that it seems I always get stuck with the new kid on the block. Anyway, I was in the chair...for 2, yes count them, 2...very...long....hours. She kept dropping the tools....apologizing....squirting me with water....apologizing....was gonna take an x-ray....then found out she wasn't suppose to....apologizing......couldn't figure out how to put her hand in my mouth...hold her tool...and her mirror.....and get her head literally.....inside of mine :yikes: .....apologizing....yes...it was quite the experience. All in all it wasn't bad, nor was she. Just new at it. Best part about it though....was she was someone I had went to school with (year behind me) and throughout the who visit she kept "gushing" at how wonderful I looked???!!! :?: I thought to myself, "wow...didn't know I looked that bad in high school" I think she was just nervouse.....very...very...nervouse. That and she probably remembered how much of a jock I was in high school and thought I would kick her $ss is she screwed up.   Ok...kidding...just kidding. I stopped doing that last year.

Tomorrow, I have an adjustment. :| I sure hope this one goes better than the last. GOD....did that hurt. Of course it doesn't help when nurse "hatchet" is working on you. :x All that aside....it has been the best month yet. No pain what so ever.....none...nadda....zippo....zero....zilch-o-rammo!!!! :jump: Which...has been awesome for my tummy. I've pretty much got to eat whatever I've wanted all month long!!!! Ya for me!!! :jump:

I've been trying to figure out what color ligs to get this time. The green...has been VERY green. V-E-R-Y. My husband....hates them. Life sucks to be him I guess. He says's I look like a big booger. What...ever. Your not complaining when that "booger" is.....boogiein all over ya. Corn hole. Love ya honey bunny.

Anyway...wish me luck. I'm nervous already. It's right away in the morning so I'm wondering if I should just stuff myself silly....you know...kinda like "eating" the pain away...the fear away...the what ever the hell my phobia is ......AWAY!!!!!

Hi Jen,

Holy Cow! 2 hours for a cleaning?!! Girl, they best be shining like the sun!! It didn't take that long to get de-braced, polished up and 2 sets of mold done on my de-brace day.but she was a rookie and on top of that, knew you, so she probably was nervous.

Glad you had a good month after the pain went away after your last adj. It seems that the pain part gets shorter and shorter as you teeth get closer to their new homes. They don't need so much pressure then.

Let us know what color ligs you get this time. Perhaps your hubby will like them more!!

Later! Ken.
