Congratulations on getting the ICU started! Must be really good to see that bracket after so long! How long before it is wired in?
Going back a bit you said you'll try bungee diving - I don't fancy that either, again that loss of control seems scary (although not much control in the ortho's chair, of course..)

Aww, thanks!

I go back in (checking ticker) in 23 days. I'll either get wired in or have the rubberbands tightened at that time. So wired anywhere from 3 weeks to 7 weeks from now - and hopefully sooner!

I'm excited to finally be able to see some progress happening!

ICU is so cute!!! I got to see him/her (I forgot to ask) in person today. We showered him/her with sweets. Yum! Jeni, how should we refer to ICU with a pronoun?

Hello all!

Sorry for going AWOL a bit. It's that time of year with work and life has been busy! I'm hoping to post a new ticker here, but I'm not sure how much ticker space I'm allowed. :wink:

ICU has been very well behaved. It got into a 016 wire back in mid September. Within a week it was almost in line. These pics are from the beginning of October. I'm hoping to get a stronger wire at my next appointment in ... 9 days!

I still have a bit of a crossbite:

I'm supposed to decide by my next appointment whether I want surgery to fix the crossbite. I'm saying no. I still have a year or two to go in the braces and everything has come so far. I don't mind if one jaw is slightly inside the other. No problem to me!

How is everyone? Anything major I've missed? I look forward to catching up with you all!

You're teeth look like they are almost ready to break out of jail. ICU cooperated beautifully. What is left that will take another year?

As for the braces, everything is looking good from the front. I was quoted at 4 years though and I'd really like to see that done in under 3. My next appointment is about a week away, so I do want to talk about that quote. Especially since I don't want surgery.

My front teeth are starting to look Class I, but my molars are still class III. And I still have a tiny bit of open bite. And they want to correct the crossbite as much as possible. Mostly molar movement from here, which is slow going.

ICU needs to fully get into the arch. Little bit of twisting left to do. I really really hope I can be done closer to 1 year than 2 years from now. We'll have a chat next week.

We're moving into busy season at work now, but I'd love to grab lunch with you when you have spring break maybe! My belly is growing, but no one else can really see it yet :wink:

In a few months I'll really have something to show off!
