Because of the lighting, they don't look perfectly straight, but they are!!

I bit into a piece of cheddar to check and yep, the incisal edges are all even. The light is reflecting off of the cement I guess.

Anyway, this is my new bling...I'm getting used to it very quickly. My tongue hasn't gotten sore AT ALL!! and I've been trying to stop licking it....

Looking good Jenilee, great that you don't have to worry about wearing or losing a retainer now. I'm sure you'll get used to it in no time, after all we get used to wearing a brace pretty quickly and it is a lot less invasive than a brace.

Love the gold colour.

Regards
Joney

How cool! I want one!

I have to say, I don't think your tongue will ever give it a rest. It won't be as "foreign" soon - but I personally think you'll always play with it. Something personally entertaining. Just a little lick when no one knows what you're doing? Oh yeah.

How do you floss? Is there enough space to thread the floss through the teeth below it?

I think that's what I want. I don't like the thought of being forever responsible to wear retainers.

Yes, there is enough room at the base of my teeth to push regular floss through.

I use the tape type floss and I can pass it through without even lookin'.

Easy as it can be....not as easy as no wire at all, but much easier than braces! Image

Jenn

ps...still playing with it a little. It is feeling a lot smaller now. Felt like the Williamsburg Bridge at first! Image

Now it feels more like this:

MUCH BETTER!!

Looks great! Did you get to choose the color. It is at least 2 years away, but I have already asked my Ortho for upper and lower bonded retainers. I do not want mess up my hard work by being lax with wearing retainers.

no, I didn't get to choose the color of the bonded retainer. My ortho always uses gold...don't know why.

My hawley, on the other hand, I got to choose the color of that.

Good luck to you and the 2 years will fly by!
