how do you change individual words to a different colour? like when you highlight them?

highlight the words you want to change
go to the menu above the box you're writing in
click on the down arrow beside Font colour: Default
choose the colour you want

If you want the colour to be more brilliant ... bold it also ... which means click on the B on the line above the Font colour.
