Congratulations! You must be so excited! I can't wait to see your new look!

I am right behind you in progress. I was told yesterday that on my next appointment if everything looks good we will do impressions. Then debonding 6 weeks after that. I think that is the plan but 6 weeks after impressions sounds like a long time.

Hope the debonding process goes smoothly for you!

I had an appointment at my ortho this morning to get impressions made for my lower permanent retainer. It was a quick appointment-the tech removed my lower wire and did the impression and then replaced my elastic tie and wire. I'm one of the lucky ones and am not bothered by the impression-making process, although it did feel like some brackets might get ripped off when she removed the mold. After that, my ortho came over and took a look at my teeth and joked that I still need 4 or 5 more years of braces. Very funny... Just one week to go--debonding will occur at 9am on April 20!!!

Thanks! I'm starting to get nervous about how my naked teeth will look, but I'm also planning what I'll eat when they are off! I'll definitely post some pics on Wednesday

Free at last!!! It was weird to see my teeth without braces, but I'm happy with the result! I'll post a more detailed account of the removal process later this evening.

Here is a preview pic (not at the best angle) taken as soon as I left the ortho about an hour ago:
