Looking great, Klo. No surprise to read that they are coming off soon. Congratulations on nearing the end.

Will your ortho be able to provide your retainers on debrace day so you have them for Hawaii?

Jem
Sectional brace with Damon clear brackets fitted to front 6 upper teeth 3 January 2012
Brackets added to premolars 2 April 2012
Estimated treatment time originally 6-9 months

Now enjoying bonded upper retainer plus part time essix/hawley( I have both)

Hey thanks everybody!

Here's how it works---I have a final adjustment on March 26, then an evaluation on April 15 (I think with molds and stuff??--not sure), and debonding on the 22. I guess that takes a couple hours. Not the debonding itself--because I have Damon all-metal it takes only about 5 minutes to actually get them off. Clip,clip,clip...I think it's putting on the permanent wire behind my 4 front bottom teeth, getting the retainer (Invasalign like--for life--24/7). Oh, I don't even know what I'm talking about!! I'm making up my own stories! Someone tell me what happens on those last 2 visits!

So, I asked if the 22nd was it--was it ok to take off (haha--literally!) on the 23rd.
They said yes, I would be done. And we've already bought our tickets to Hawaii!!
(Last night).

So, yesterday they put more hooks on and I'm wearing triangle elastics on both sides. Way up in front. Not at all comfortable or pretty (really not that bad-but they are noticeable)---but I can handle it! It will be a final sore reminder of the past 2 years! It will be 1 week short of 2 years on the 22nd--pretty good estimation on the ortho's part!!

My ortho basically had me all day. In the morning they took off the brackets (take pain killers, that can hurt). Then they took molds. A couple of hours later I came back for my retainers, my new night time companion. I don't have the bonded wire.

I do wear my retainer every night and am expected to wear it until I die.
