Hi everyone, been reading some useful stuff on the forum - I'm in the UK and about to embark on extractions, followed by braces and finally surgery. Yikes!

Yay another UK'er! Hey Beebop and congrats on taking the step!...It's a very worthwhile decision so everyday will lead you that step closer to that perfect smile you've always dreamed of.

Welcome! I'm UK too Look at us, haha.

I had my first extraction last week (was meant to be 2, but complications, explained in my story), and I'm having my next 3 out tomorrow. Depending upon how long I feel my gums have become comfortable enough, I'll then get braces, likely a week or two later

Will be great to be doing this all together

My Story — Braced on 2 March 2012. 4 premolar extractions. Ceramic/clear uppers, metal lowers. Duration of 2 years.
Currently: Third adjustment 19 June (all teeth bracketed!)

Hi guys – thanks for the messages, I am very nervous, especially about the extractions so interested in Domino's experiances! Will be 8 (4 wisdom) out before braces and all are good teeth, which seems a lot. But I have a lot of over crowding and no room! I am going back soon to discuss in a bit more detail so will get more answers then…

Well thought I'd say "hello" again - had the extractions and have now been braced for a month. Took about a week to get used to the braces but so far so good!!

Amazing how quickly you get used to them ins't it! Hope things go smoothly
