I got my braces in July 2015 and the orthodontist said they would take 18 -24 months. I think my teeth are pretty straight now and I have my appointment next week and I'm dying to get them off! The only issue is I have a gap close to the back and the tooth hasn't fully grown, does this mean I'll have to wait until the tooth has grown? Also, when I run my tongue over my braces my front teeth seem quite wobbly?

Simply noticing that the teeth are visually straight does not mean your braces are ready to be removed. There are a lot of other things your orthodontist can be trying to adjust, like bite alignment, that isn't as noticeable. Trust him and don't beg to get them off before he feels you are finished.
