Underbite Pains

#1 Post by Scott19 »

I have been told by my Oral Surgeon that the reason i am experiencing pain in my jaw area is because my upper jaw did not fully come out all the was, which resulted in a underbite. I then asked him if i had TMJ and he insisted that the upper jaw just needs to be pulled forward and most of my problems will subside.

I've had braces on for about a month and will be getting surgery in about 8 months but is/was inyone in the same boat as me? When i bite down none of the teeth really fall into place anymore! also..when i move my jaw side to side the jaw hits the end of the top back teeth which i feel is very odd and adds to the tightness/pain of not being able to move my mouth around. That is all! sorry this is a bit long :o
