I had a jaw surgery done on my lower jaw to correct an underbite and a crossbite. It has been a month post operation and my surgeon finally decided to take off the elastics and splint.
I was cleared to start eating soft food but I noticed I had a severe pain on the left side of my jaw (probably my jaw joint) if I tried to open my jaw wide.
I called my surgeon up immediately after I experienced pain but she said it was normal to experience pain and it should go away in some days.
Is it normal? And do I have to be worried?
