Double Jaw surgery is creeping up and I am flipping out.

After 18 months since seeing my surgeon, I go back soon. My last gap has only a smidge to go to close up. I get to go back and see him. I am panicking. I am a mother of 3 and 35 yrs in August. I am also overweight. I think I keep freaking out over lack of breathing and being fat. I did smoke for 3 yrs and stopped over a month ago. Wanted to get as healthy as possible with the time I have left before Surgery. SO my Noob questions are this:
Anyone at least 50lbs overweight have this done and be okay?
Also, I see the surgeon end of July - hoping won't have the surgery until Oct. (work things I need to complete) before 3 weeks off. How long did it take you all to get sent back to surgeon to actual surgery? Couple of months?
