Something I didn't think about BEFORE my surgery.....
How would I continue to take my thyroid medication?!?!
I am hypothyroid (total thyroidectomy) and in the hospital they gave me liquid synthroid, but I didn't think to get a prescription for it. I am not on sythroid normally (another brand) and the idea of switching made me a nervous wreck just when I thought my levels were starting to level out.
For anybody getting the surgery and will be wired / rubber banded, ask your Endocrinologists about your options!
