I would really like to schedule a consultation with Gunson/Arnett. The thing is, it'll be until October before I can go back into braces. I'd have to go with an OD in AK, who will want to work with an OS in AK, not CA.

So, do I go see G/A before seeing my OD? Do I get an overall plan together with them "before" going to see the OD? Or, do I get the braces on, and then fly out to see G/A and then make a plan from there?

What order does any of this go in? I imagine at some point, G/A will have to speak with my OD.

it shouldn't matter what your ortho wants. gunson and arnett handle patients in other states and other countries. the problem with braces is that arnett and gunson will provide explicit instructions to the ortho in how they want your teeth to be moved. they will remain in contact with your ortho as long as you remain a patient.

you should schedule an appointment with arnett/gunson immediately because the wait tends to be at least a month. gunson is more available than arnett.

if I were you, and this is just me, id see the surgeons first and then get braces.

I'm in braces--Gunson said it makes things more difficult.

The idea of going to the surgeon first, then seeing the OD sounds better. I'll do it that way.
