Hi
So im roughly 1 year POST braces ... second time i had braces i thought i was getting full mouth treatment but it was "fast braces" and they only done front teeth. (I was misled)
I hated the results because they done 2 much ipr and thined my teeth..
But i have another problem my lower teeth ACHE every single hour of the day for the past 3 months... pain goes and comes and goes.
I went to a new dentist i sugested it might be because of to much IPR from previous brace treatment... but they gave me a night guard £100 because i told them i grind my teeth at night sometimes.
But the pain is still here what is causing this pain?
Dont they have like injections or something i can use to get rid of this pain?
They done x ray on teeth and said teeth are moving abit... but im not suprised by that because i didnt wear my retainer because i did not like the results

Injections or any medications that get rid of the pain are painkillers that only provide temporary relief. If there is an underlying issue that is causing this pain, it will come back once the medication wears off.
Did your dentist find anything else from your xrays apart from your teeth having moved?
Also, is the pain spontaneous? Or is there a stimuli like it only happens when biting or when you take hot or cold food/drinks?

The pain is spontaneuous, it has nothing to do with what im eating or cold or hot drinks but the pain just comes and goes non stop ... i just wokeup and started replying to this and the pain just came back..assertives wrote:Injections or any medications that get rid of the pain are painkillers that only provide temporary relief. If don't have a sensitivity issue then it's probably not nerve related. It may be periodontal. Go see a dentist to check it out.
