Expanders for Adults

#1 Post by ChallengedCranium »

I was reading this forum and others for some days because I finally got some time to look into health issues.

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea at age 24. The apnea is caused by retruded jaw, impacted, vertically-grown maxilla.
The palatal vault is almost fitting my tongue in width (tongue is 2 mm wider than palate) but I don't think forward growth
is satisfied at all. I feel like only 2/3 rds of it can comfortably fit there.

I had sleep apnea symptoms as far as I remember. I want this addressed. Any forum members worked on expansion of their palate?
Technically, this feat would free up nasal passages and airways more. I am not sure about the lower jaw though. THIS IS SPAM PLEASE REPORT IT TO THE ADMINISTRATOR. THIS IS SPAM PLEASE REPORT IT TO THE ADMINISTRATOR. THIS IS SPAM PLEASE REPORT IT TO THE ADMINISTRATOR. THIS IS SPAM PLEASE REPORT IT TO THE ADMINISTRATOR., it has no anatomy
for possible expansion.

I am located in UK, can also go to Germany or other European countries for possible treatment. I struggle to locate dentists willing to
expand an adult because, according to science that I read, palatal suture has no way of expansion after adolescence and it is sealed.
Yet, I saw stories on this forum from members getting results but never saw any pics to verify them.

Can I get some guidance on this issue, possible recommendations so that I can at least visit dentist(s) in UK for their opinion?
