6 days to go...what do you think?

Less than a week to go to my de-brace day and this is what my teeth look like. What do you think? Remember that because I refused surgery this is a less than perfect end result...apparently.

Crazy...it was only when I saw those pictures side by side that I realised how much change has happened!

Thanks! I can't wait to get the braces off...my teeth need a good clean...Its so gross where I couldn't clean behind the powerchain!

Very great result, Starfish, congratulations! And to me your teeth do look perfect.
Good luck with your debanding! I am already looking forward to seeing a picture of your naked tooth, they must even be more beautiful!

Looks perfect to me. Congrats on beautiful results!
Class II moderately deep overbite, mild crowding.
Braced on January 19, 2011. Debraced on December 16, 2013.
2 years, 11 months in braces.

Braces as Phase II treatment for TMJD.
Lower mandibular repositioning splint 26 months.
Lower braces on 10.75 months into Phase II treatment.
Duration in braces: 2 years, 2 weeks, 5 days
Removal of Braces: September 18, 2013
TMJD treatment now complete!

It's crazy how much more comfortable it is. I had no idea all the back teeth were meant to meet! And the difference it makes to my jaw joints not to have to hold my bottom jaw 12mm forward to bite into something! I probably had TMJ before I started but had no idea because I didn't realise jaws aren't meant to pop!

GIRL! What are you saying about less than perfect?! Those are gorgeous teeth you got there!! Don't worry about feeling they are not "perfect" or ready to come off.. I had the same dilemma and I get mine off tomorrow morning!! (November 4, 2013 at 12pm.) :) I hear lots of people saying that look so much better when the metal is off!!

I only meant not perfect as in not orthodontic text book perfect. For an ideal result I would have had SARPE and got 2 to 3 mm more palate width and BSSO so my result wouldn't be quite the same. There have been people on the board worried about also turning down surgery and not getting 'perfection' -I wanted to reassure them that imperfect still looks pretty darn good! Can't wait for Wednesday!
