I have had these braces on for two years; my ortho is ready for them to come off...I feel like my front teeth are "bucky" and they dont close all the way around and look higher on one side of my mouth than the other

Attached photos

I had elastics on for about six months; it did close down my teeth alot. He thinks this is as far as they will go.

I went to another ortho for second opinion...they said they could bring my teeth back without taking teeth out and it would prob be another three or so months but I dont know if they just want my money or what....My current ortho is already paid off so I dont want to switch if I can help it.

Is there anything that can be done to help with this?

If it were me and the ortho was paid for then i would consider the metal owned by me. I would consult a second ortho and yes it looks to me as though your front teethare bucky like you said. If they were my teeth i would not be happy, im really sorry if i offended you in any way, you have such nice white lovely teeth but they dont quite looked finished. Look forward to see how you go.

Yes I agree you have gorgeous teeth but your front teeth should not be so flared and if you got a second opinion about your front teeth and something can be done I would take the time to fix it. I had a 10 mm overbite and was in elastics for over a year now to correct it and move my jaw. I think your teeth are sooooo close to being perfect I would take the time to get them even better and talk to your first ortho and if he can not fix it because he is not willing to then maybe paying the other ortho for time would be the best option. If not you might regret it but I do think they look really good and from the front its harder to tell they are flared.

Good luck!

I think your teeth are a bit flared. However, I think if they push it anymore back, you may get an open bite (your front uppers seem to overlap the lowers by just half a hair). You did not have any teeth removed, do you? Maybe an interprox reduction will help? Seems like you only need a few mm's.
You may of course go elsewhere, however make sure you dont end up with an open bite. These are a nightmare to fix.

I wouldn't mind seeing pics of the starting point for better reference, plus a frontal pic of a regular smile, not a display of the positioning of the teeth.

I would be able to judge better.

To me, they don't look that bad. In order to push the upper fronts back, you would have to push the lowers back as well. I'm not sure you have the room to do that. But, I'm not an ortho, so my opinion is like anyone else's.

I agree with everyone's comments. If you have these braces removed with your current concerns, you will have regrets. Just talk with your ortho and explain you are not satisfied.
