Forsus springs
Hi - My ortho has said if my elastics don't work and correcting my overbite, I will need to wear forsus springs - they look pretty scary!
Has anyone had forsus springs? I'd be interested in hearing what they are like.
Thanks

Hi NervousNewbie - when I first got braces I was pretty restricted on what I could eat for a couple of weeks, and did loose some weight, but after a few weeks I could pretty much eat everything as normal so it all came back on - I don't think getting braces really helps with weight loss because they...

My white ties haven't lost the white covers - I clean with an electric toothbrush (oral b triumph) for 6 minutes (3 mins top arch 3 bottom) twice a day + all of the other stuff - they have been on for ten weeks now. At my last adjustment the ortho didnt replace them just tightened them - they are st...

I've had my braces on for ten weeks - for the first month things were noticably sore and it wasn't until the sixth week that the soreness went away and I was able to eat harder foods. After my first adjustment I was only sore for a couple of days - everyone is different though....it's hard to believ...

Sensitive teeth and a cavity - what a start!
Hi - I've had my braces on for 7 weeks, but I'm concerned that my teeth feel pretty sensitive - seems to be a different tooth everyday, esp. to cold - is this normal - I have been using sensodyne toothpaste and using flouride mouthwash. Also the dental hygenist found a cavity, which I'm pretty disap...

Two cavities - whats that all about???
Well, pretty disappointed - one month with braces and things had been going well, then the dental hygenist found two cavities which shocked me! After all those check ups in the lead up to having them put on, I thought someone would have noticed! Also, although I am 33 I havent had a new filling for ...
